How Do I Adjust My Titleist TSi3 Driver?

Many drivers nowadays feature adjustable hosel technology and weight placement in the club; however, none do it so well as Titleist. One of their latest drivers, the TSi3, offers so much in the way of adjustability that you will be hard-pressed not to find a setting that doesn’t fit your play style.

You will adjust the hosel and weigh it by using the adjustable wrench. Loosen the weight plate only enough so that you can shift the weight into position accordingly. Remove the hosel and adjust the two rings according to the adjustment chart for loft and lie angles.

Is the Titleist TSi3 driver adjustable?

There are two elements of the TSi3 that can be adjustedso as to adapt to your preferred style of play.

The first is the SureFit hosel that can adjust the loft and lie angle of the club. This is so that you can adjust the club for increased distance and control.

There are an incredible 16 unique loft and lie combinations that you can adjust, and each increment for both are modified by 0.75 degrees at a time.

The next adjustable element on the TSi3 is the rear track weighting system. This system was overhauled and is different from the CG SureFit weight used in the TS3 driver.

The weighting system has one 8g adjustable weight that can be moved into five different positions, offering you a neutral, draw, or fade bias.

How to adjust the SureFit hosel on Titleist TSi3 driver

The TSi3 comes with an adjustment wrench that you will use to adjust both the weight and the hosel. If you have never used an adjustment wrench, then it is important to note that when tightening the screws for both the weight and hosel, there will be an audible click sound when the screw has been sufficiently tightened enough.

The first thing you will need to do is remove the hosel screw with your adjustment wrench. After that, it will be easy to remove the shaft from the club head giving you access to the hosel.

You will notice that there are two rings situated on the hosel. One of the rings has letters printed on them, and the other has numbers. These all correspond to settings that can be found on the Titleist SureFit chart (see our chart below).

The club will be positioned to A1 in its factory setting, which is its default loft and lie. Remember that you are able to purchase the TSi3 with varying lofts that include 8, 9, 10, and 11 degrees.

Taking a look at our chart below, we can see that moving up or down the chart will effectively change the loft (the trajectory of the ball), and adjusting to the left or right of the chart will effectively adjust the fade (right side) or draw (left side).

Hence if you were looking to keep your current trajectory but implement the most draw, you would set the hosel rings to A2.

If you were looking for the most draw and most loft, you would adjust the hosel rings to A3. What would the setting be if you wanted the lowest trajectory with the most fade bias? You would set the hosel rings to C1.

Take note that these adjustments are for a right-handed player. The left-hand chart is below, and it is crucial to note the same principles apply but in reverse.

Before adjusting the weight, the first thing you need to know is that the 8g weight is not removable but rather is loosened, shifted into position, and tightened again.

The track is made from polymer and carbon fiber, allowing it to be light and robust. The first thing you will do is loosen the weight screw with your adjustment wrench.

Take note that you should not use any other tool to do this. Also, in essence, you won’t be loosening the screw as such, but you will rather be lifting up the cover, allowing you to move the weight.

This means it is not necessary to remove the entire cover before repositioning the weight. Once the cover has been loosened so that the weight is able to move freely, you are ready to begin.

Positioning the weight in the middle of the club (this should be its default position) will force the club not to have any bias at all, hence it will provide a neutral bias.

There are two settings for both the club’s heel position and toe position, and they will be aptly named T1, T2, H1, and H2.

If you would like to draw the ball or fix a slice, you would position the weight into one of the H (Heel) positions. Depending on how much correction you need, with H2 being corrected the most and offering the most draw bias, you would place the weight into that position. The H1 position will offer a more subtle draw bias (not to the degree H2 will).

Conversely, if you would like to fade the ball or correct a hook, then placing the weight into one of the Toe (T1 or T2) positions will help you achieve this result. Again, T2 will offer the most fade bias, while placing the weight in T1 will offer a more subtle fade bias.

Once you have positioned the weight according to your play style, all that is left to do is tighten the screw again using the appropriate adjustment wrench and tightening it until you hear an audible click.

Titleist brings out new drivers every two years, and in 2020 the TSi3 replaced the TS3 with a new look and better design than that of the TS3.

The TSi3 offers a whopping 16 unique adjustments with just the turn of the hosel ring, allowing you to adjust the club’s loft and lie angles. These settings alter the draw, fade, and trajectory of the ball.

The Tsi3 then has a rear weight rack system placed in the rear section of the club. While some drivers out there only allow you to adjust for a draw bias, the TSi3 has five settings (one being neutral) that allow you to adjust for both a draw and fade bias.
